Your diagnostics stay under your control.

This notice describes ASL PC Steward 1.5 release-candidate behavior. It is separate from the privacy notice for visiting the Auto Secure Login website.

Information the Windows app reads

Steward reads local performance counters and configuration: CPU and memory, process names and resources, drive capacity and type, Windows session and account names, task configuration, startup entries, services, network shares, antivirus registrations, network adapter addresses, and selected Windows health and reliability information. Where accessible, the Processes page shows executable paths, file-company metadata, and signer-certificate presence; that is not a full trust-chain verdict.

Local storage and retention

Lightweight health samples are stored locally for seven days. Action history records the requested target and the observed result. Exported reports are saved in the current user's Documents folder under “ASL PC Steward Reports.” The Local Data page lets you separately clear Steward history and exported reports after confirmation. It does not delete unrelated user files. Exported copies and action history remain until you remove them; uninstalling the app may leave these user-owned files behind.

Report exports

Identifying details are minimized by default, including collected local account names, paths, share names, and network addresses. This reduces exposure but does not guarantee anonymity; software names and diagnostic details can still be identifying. You can explicitly include identifying details in Settings. Review the complete report before sending it to anyone.

A support ZIP contains the diagnostic report, a plain-language inclusion notice, and a SHA-256 integrity manifest. It does not include action history, trend history, screenshots, arbitrary Windows logs, passwords, or unrelated documents. Integrity records are not a digital signature or a privacy guarantee.

Network activity and uploads

The diagnostic app does not upload scan results or action history, use advertising telemetry, or require an account. Network diagnostics may ping the configured local gateway. The optional ASL GPU broker check contacts a loopback-only endpoint on your own PC. Windows or connected third-party providers may make their own network requests while resolving mapped or cloud drives. Store downloads, Windows services, and support pages have their own network and privacy behavior.

Windows actions

Read-only scans do not ask for administrator approval. A supported task change or disconnected-session sign-out is initiated only after you select and confirm the target and Windows grants elevation. The app records a pending operation and its result; an unconfirmed result is labeled unknown. Security services and cleanup locations are review-only.

Website and support

This Steward site does not have analytics, an account form, payment processing, or a waitlist. The hosting server may retain ordinary access and security logs. Following a support link takes you to the existing Auto Secure Login service; information you submit there is governed by the platform privacy policy. Send only information necessary for your support request.
