Steward support

Start with the evidence.

Tell us what you expected, what happened, the app version, and your Windows version. Do not send passwords, keys, access tokens, or unrelated private files.

Email support@autosecurelogin.com for individual support. Include the app and Windows versions, the exact finding state and last-observed time. Review every support bundle before sharing it.

Old incidents and the current health score

In the 1.9.4 candidate, historical application events remain visible with their dates but do not repeatedly subtract from current health. Historical, recovered, unknown and stale findings do not establish an active failure. Current confirmed findings retain their severity deductions. A scan says “partial” or “unavailable”

This means one or more sources did not provide usable information in time. It is not a clean bill of health. Read the collection notes, allow a slow Windows provider to recover, and try a full scan. An optional GPU broker or NVIDIA tool may simply not be installed.

Active Monitor appears slow

Active Monitor starts off. Start it from Overview and choose the desired interval in Settings. The interval is a target, not a guarantee: slow collection takes longer, and Steward does not overlap scans to catch up. Inventory is refreshed less frequently than live counters. Check the sample and inventory times.

Connecting Broker & Fleet

Enter your trusted rbroker HTTPS origin and its viewer key, then select Connect. Use the fleet page’s own Active Monitor for two-second refreshes; leaving the page disconnects and clears the key. Overview’s local monitor is separate. An authentication error means check the server address and obtain the correct key from its operator—do not bypass authentication or restart a shared broker.

Stale means the last report expired, not that every job stopped. Snapshot-only means an older server did not provide expiry information. Check the publishing computer and coordinator; this screen does not grant leases. Never send keys or raw fleet reports in support requests. See fleet privacy.

GPU broker is healthy but Parallel Work is unavailable

These are separate services. Steward shows the CPU worker service's last-contact time, version, active jobs, reported worker processes and shared limit independently. An old report becomes stale; missing optional status on an older broker means not reported. Read the specific finding and ask the service operator to inspect its error and process-ownership records. This scan cannot prove a disk or project caused an outage and does not restart services or disturb jobs.

Temperature or fan readings are missing

Expand the source to distinguish unavailable readings from denied access. Coverage depends on hardware, drivers, firmware and installed providers. NVIDIA fan percentage is intended speed, not measured RPM; firmware thermal zones are not individual CPU cores. The temperature monitor is separate and stops when you leave its page. Steward does not install a sensor driver.

Cooling boost is an optional, explicitly approved local action on supported NVIDIA and AMD hardware. Vendor interfaces determine available readings and controls. NVIDIA automatic control and AMD saved fan-curve/Zero RPM restoration have different paths. The boost is bounded, not permanent manual tuning or a remote fleet command. Steward does not bundle a replacement display driver or an unsigned kernel sensor driver. Check the exact duration and restoration result in the app. If restoration is unknown or failed, do not repeatedly boost. Use Restore automatic control where supported and follow the hardware vendor's recovery guidance. Do not force-stop the helper during a boost.

What automatic cleanup means

Nothing is selected or automated by default. Safe Cleanup previews eligible aged files in current-user Temp and CrashDumps, then requires explicit approval for permanent removal. The minimum age is seven days and each run is limited to 500 files and 512 MiB. Changed, locked, linked and unsupported files are skipped. Documents, downloads, projects, browser profiles, system folders and the Recycle Bin are excluded.

An enabled rule authorizes future permanent removal for its selected categories and interval while Steward remains open; it does not ask again on every run. Disable the rule or close Steward to stop it. No background task or service is installed. Deleted files do not go to the Recycle Bin and Steward cannot undo removal. Remote broker controls did not apply

Controls need a compatible coordinator, a separate control key and target-node opt-in. An accepted request is not proof the node applied it: refresh for its signed report. Delivery expires after 60 seconds and pauses expire automatically. Do not resend an unknown operation blindly. Existing leases, jobs and CPU workers stay running. Resuming never bypasses local capacity or telemetry checks.

A drive is unfamiliar

Look at its type, provider, capacity, and readiness on Storage. A cloud quota is not necessarily a physical partition. Steward does not format drives or move files. Confirm a volume's identity in Windows before any action outside the app.

A Windows action has an unknown result

Do not repeat it blindly. Windows may still be completing the operation. Refresh and inspect the exact task or session. Signing out can close applications and lose unsaved work; only perform it when you understand the impact.

Sharing a support bundle

Use Overview → Support bundle. Open and review the exported files first. Identifying details are minimized by default, not guaranteed anonymous. The app does not send the bundle automatically. Read the product privacy notice before sharing.

Removing retained Steward data

Use Local Data before uninstalling to separately clear health history, action history and app-generated reports after confirmation. User-owned exports may remain after uninstalling. Review the exact paths shown by the app; never delete a broad Documents or AppData folder. Copies you shared or saved elsewhere are outside Steward's removal controls.

Store availability

The download page identifies the development-signed 1.8.4 testing package currently served here. Newer help describes the 1.9.4 integration candidate and does not mean that candidate has been certified or published. The separate Microsoft Store product has a US price of $49.99. Its current listing and installed version determine which release you receive. A local passing test is not Store approval.
